About the Author

I have been a teacher for twenty-three years and worked with students at both Primary and Secondary level.

Reading children's literature has been a passion of mine throughout my life: as a child, as a mother, and as a teacher of English and Drama.

I've always had an ambition to write something entertaining and educational for young people.

My books are a collection of adventure stories that deal with emotional issues, which may be experienced by some children, as seen through the eyes of Dylan the dog.

I am concerned about the mental health issues that currently affect so many of our youngsters.

Hopefully my books will help children to empathise with Dylan, to recognise their own anxieties in life, maybe to open a dialogue about such issues, and learn coping strategies to help deal with similar situations.

Most of all, I hope my books will provide entertainment and generate a love of reading.
